Otami- is an indigenious run design studio based in Montreal with a focus on multilingual typography, visual identity and publications.

The typeface used in this website was designed by Allen’s Cruz. I worked closely with Allen’s on the design to create a multilingual website. The website is written in Cree and English. Every instance of Cree on the website gets translated to English on hover with an interaction that is designed to enhance and bring awareness to the multilingual experience of indigenous people in Montreal.

For this project I thought a lot about language, archival systems, information and guides. The website can be viewed at www.otami.ca.
